More pictures were requested, so here you go.

This is a shot of the workers at the village. From left to right, Clair, Emma, Anna, Pieter, and Sarah.








This is the sami cabin we stayed in. You can see lots and lots of snow on the roof, and ski polls in the foreground.








Here's a cool shot of Emma on the frozen river. This is where we gathered water.









Below is a pic of Sam in the snow after a sauna. He's wearing only a towel and boots.

So how long are the days up there in Lapland now?

According to the internet, the sunrise up was around 8 AM, and the sunset was around 3:30 PM.
